Nienor dot net is the personal domain of Olótiriel, and has been running since October 2003. Over the years it's seen many new sites and layouts open and close, hostees come and go, and various little bouts of downtime -- not a perfectly smooth ride through cyberspace... But I'm still around, and not likely to close for as long as people keep visiting, and as long as I can afford to stay!
    But why Nienor? The name was chosen for two reasons; first, I needed something short, to the point, not hard to spell, LotR related, and that sounded good next to '.net'. Second, ever since reading of Nienor, in The Silmarillion, I was intrigued by the story. I had pondered many names, but this one just stuck. I also opened a fanlisting for her.
    I am hosted by Active Web Hosting, a good company with very reasonable prices and plenty of space. AWH are an excellent place for registering and hosting personal/hobbyist/small business websites. Please list 'Nienor.net' as a referrer if you ever sign up with them!
